Many gifted children report emotional and social difficulties because they develop only convergent thinking which focuses on only one of
the complex cognitive ingredients of creativity (Butcher, J.N., et al., 2013).
Emotional intelligence refers to a set of emotional abilities that enable individuals to process and adapt to emotional information (Salvoes & Pizzaro, 2003).
Every kid should have social-emotional skills that enable them to manage their own emotions and interact competently with others (Butcher, J.N., et al., 2013).
Music lessons can help to develop child’s social and emotional skills as well as
divergent thinking which includes the complex cognitive ingredients of creativity.
